Pelvic Infections General Information

Pelvic Infections consist of an inflammation of the female reproductive system. As the disease progresses it spreads affecting other pelvic organs such as the cervix of the uterus, fallopian tubes, ovaries, and the surrounding tissues. There are some steps to follow in preventing the disease to develop. In some cases the condition is caused by frequent vaginal douching because it can push the bacteria into the patient’s upper genital system. Douching can also ease discharge caused by the disease determine the patient not think that she may have any symptom. The vagina cleans itself naturally so it is important to avoid douches as much as possible. Another preventing advice is to wipe from front to back after a bowel movement because by doing this way it keeps the bacteria from entering the vagina.
