Plavix Warnings

Plavix Drug Interactions

Avoid the following drugs without consulting your doctor first:

• Aspirin
• Warfarin
• Heparin, Ardeparin, Dalteparin, Danaparoid, Enoxaparin , Tinzaparin
• NSAIDs such as Ibuprofen, Naproxen, Ketoprofen, Indomethacin, Diclofenac, Etodolac, Fenoprofen, Flurbiprofen, Nabumetone, Oxaproxin, Piroxicam, Sulindac or Tolmetin.

These drugs have anti-coagulating properties and taking any of them together with Plavix may prove to be fatal.

Plavix may also have drug interactions with the following medicines:

• Phenytoin
• Tamoxifen
• Tolbutamide
• Torsemide
• Fluvastatin

Taking these drugs along with Plavix must be first referred to your doctor.

Plavix Side Effects

• Allergies such as difficulty in breathing, swelling of face, mouth, tongue and throat, hives
• Blood tinged stools and excretions
• Severe Headaches, dizziness and or confusion
• Unexplainable and unusual bleeding or bruises
• Nose Bleed

Other minor side effect of Plavix may entail

• Upset stomach
• Diarrhea or constipation
• Headaches and dizziness
