Nasonex is a popular medicine that belongs to a wide class of drugs known as steroids. • nose damage.

If you do have any of these medical conditions, your physician should prescribe you a lower dose of this medicine and he or she should carefully monitor your treatment with it. This medicine is a category C FDA pregnancy drug. Therefore, a treatment with this medicine might have harmful effects on the development and the growth of an unborn child (if this medicine is taken during pregnancy). It has not been clearly established if this medicine is able to pass into breastmilk. However, you should ask your doctor if it is safe to start a treatment with this drug if you are currently nursing an infant. You should avoid prescribing Nasonex to a child under 3 years old.

You must not stop your treatment with this medicine without your personal physician’s approval, even if your condition does not improve during the first days of treatment (some of this drug’ effects appear after several weeks). While using this medicine you should avoid staying near known infections sources. It is best that you avoid people who are suffering from measles, chickenpox and any other types of infectious disorders.

However, you should not start using a decongestant spray during your treatment with this medicine without first consulting it with your personal physician.

In order to get the most beneficial effects from your treatment with this drug, you should take it on a regular basis. If you happen to miss one of your prescribed doses of Nasonex, you should take it as soon as you recall. Nasonex is not likely to trigger any severe or dangerous side effects. Some other less severe side effects are also more common. You may continue your treatment with Nasonex, but you should inform your personal physician as soon as possible if you are experiencing:

• headache;
• sore throat;
• viral infection;
• coughing;
• bleeding nose;
• painful menstruation;
• infection of the upper respiratory tract;
• muscle pain;
• burning or stinging of the nose.

Alert your doctor if you experience anything bothersome or unusual during or shortly after your treatment with Nasonex.
