Relafen Information

Relafen is a popular medicine that belongs to a wide class of medicines that are known as steroidal anti-inflammatory medicines (NSAIDs). This product is able to effectively reduce the number of hormones that are responsible for body pain or inflammation.

You should not start taking Relafen if you are suffering from known allergic reactions to any of this medicine’s components. Before you start taking this medicine you should inform your personal health care provider if you have any allergies to foods, dyes, preservatives or any other substances (other medicines for example) or if you are suffering from:

• stroke, heart attack, or blood clot;
• high blood pressure, heart disorder, congestive heart failure;
• stomach bleeding or ulcers;
• nose polyps;
• kidney or liver disease,
• asthma;
• if you are a smoker.
• blood-clotting or bleeding disorder;

In case you are suffering from any of these medical conditions you might have to take a lower dose of Relafen or you might not be allowed to take this drug at all. During your treatment with this product you should undergo various special tests (medical exams) on a regular basis, in order for your personal doctor to properly monitor your treatment with this medicine.

Relafen is a category C FDA pregnancy medicine. Therefore a treatment with this product during pregnancy could severely affect a growing fetus. If you are pregnant or if you want to become pregnant soon, you should ask your personal doctor if you may start taking this drug. As this medicine’s ingredients are thought to pass into the patient’s breast milk flow, if you are currently nursing an infant, you should ask for your personal doctor’s approval to start a treatment with this drug. Ask for a pediatrician’s approval to give this medicine to a child.

Relafen Intake Guidelines

Ask your personal health care provider to tell you exactly how and when to take Relafen. Do not deviate from your physician’s directions. Relafen should be kept away from heat and moisture, in a cool and also dry place. You must not store this medicine in the bathroom or near the kitchen sink. In case you suspect that you might be suffering from an overdose with Relafen, you should seek medical attention at once. Such a medical condition could trigger nausea, stomach pain, vomiting, bloody or black stools, drowsiness, shallow breathing, fainting, coughing up blood, or coma.

Relafen Missed Dose

If you miss one of you doses of Relafen, you should take it as soon as you can. If it is time for another scheduled dose, skip the one that you have missed and continue your regular dosing treatment. Do not take double doses without your physician’s approval.
