Vesanoid is a drug also generically called Tretinoin. This is a cancer drug that interposes in the growth of harmful cancer cells. Vesanoid Warnings

During your treatment with Vesanoid, you should avoid taking vitamin A supplements or any other multivitamins that are known to contain vitamin A. A treatment with such a medicine can trigger side effects that interfere with your thinking or with your normal reactions. You should avoid making any hazardous activities (or any other actions that require mental and physical alertness) during your treatment with this medicine (this also includes driving or operating dangerous machinery or devices that can lead to dangerous accidents).

Vesanoid Intake Guidelines

Ask your doctor how you should take Vesanoid. You must not disobey any of your physician’s instructions. If you have any further questions, you can consult the instructions written on the drug’s package. In case you do not understand some of the doctor’s directions, you should ask a nurse, a pharmacist or a doctor for further advice. Your treatment with this drug can last to up to 90 days. A dose of Vesanoid is normally accompanied by a glass of water. You should store your pills away from moisture, heat or direct sunlight, in a place that is far from the children’s reach.

Vesanoid Dosage

Ask your doctor to calculate the correct dose of Vesanoid that you should take in. The dose of this drug can and does vary from one patient to another, because it depends on many factors (such as body weight, age, the severity of the condition that this medicine is supposed to treat, general health condition, etc).

Vesanoid Overdose

If you are suffering from an overdose with this drug you may experience weakness, headache, dizziness, stomach pain, facial flushing, or cracked, dry lips. If you suspect that you have Vesanoid Overdose, you should contact your local poison control centre at once, because you are in need of medical care.

Vesanoid Missed Dose

Vesanoid Side Effects

If you are suffering from an allergic reaction to this medicine, you could experience: difficulty breathing; hives; swelling of your tongue, face, lips, or throat. Some of Vesanoid’s severe side effects are:

  • fever, weight gain, breathing problems, swelling of your feet or hands;
  • sudden pain behind your eyes, vision problems, nausea, vomiting;
  • black, tarry or bloody stools.

Other less dangerous side effects are:

  • feeling weak or tired;
  • fever;

  • dry skin, nose or mouth;

  • itching or rash;

  • vision problems;
  • skin changes;
  • hair loss.

During your treatment with Vesanoid, you should avoid taking any other drugs without your physician’s approval, especially if they are:

  • cimetidine (Tagamet);
  • troleandomycin (Tao);
  • cyclosporine (Gengraf, Neoral, Sandimmune);
  • rifampin (Rifater, Rifadin, Rimactane);
  • phenobarbital (Luminal);
  • fluvoxamine (Luvox);
  • erythromycin (Erythrocin, E.E.S., Ery-Tab);
  • fluoxetine (Prozac);
  • ketoconazole (Nizoral);
  • steroids (such as prednisone);
  • itraconazole (Sporanox);
  • clarithromycin (Biaxin);
