NYOGEL

NYOGEL

Nyogel Information

Nyogel is a populareye gel. This drug’s main ingredient is timolol maleate, a beta-blocker. This medicine is known to achieve its purpose by blocking the patient’s eye’s beta-receptors.

Nyogel Indications

Nyogel is a popular medicine that is mainly prescribed to patients who are suffering from ocular hypertension or from open angle glaucoma. However, this drug can also be prescribed to treat or to prevent some other medical disorders that have not been mentioned here.

Nyogel Warnings

  • Nyogel must not be ingested by mouth.
  • Avoid touching the Nyogel dropper tip to any king or type or surface (this also include your eye) in order to keep the applicator sterile.
  • After you have opened the medicine bottle, you ought to store it upside down in its regular carton to make sure that all the medicine will collect in the medicine’s bottle’s neck
  • This medicine is sterile until it has been opened and it regularly becomes contaminated within 4 weeks after it has been opened. Ask your pharmacist what to do with any 4 week old medicine.
  • Nyogel is a drug that is known to contain benzalkonium chloride (a popular preservative). This preservative is sometimes absorbed by some types of soft contact lenses. It is highly recommended that you should avoid wearing your contact lenses when you apply your regular dose of this eye gel
  • After applying the eye gel, some patients have experienced some temporary side effects such as blurred vision.
  • Patients who are suffering from diabetes must check their blood sugar levels on a regular (strict) basis while they are being treated with Nyogel. This drug is known to sometimes hide some of hypoglycemia’s most popular symptoms (like palpitations, increased heart rate, sweating, nausea and tremor).
  • A prolonged treatment with this drug is known to sometimes increase the patient’s normal sensitivity to some substances (this increases the patient’s risk of experiencing severe allergies).
  • Any patient who is following a prolonged treatment with Nyogel must undergo several eye examinations during it.

Nyogel is a medicine that should be used with increased caution in:

  • 1st degree heart block
  • A problem common in the elderly, related to poor control of the working of the heart (sick sinus syndrome)
  • Metabolic acidosis
  • History of serious heart disorder
  • Diabetes
  • hyperthyroidism
  • Myaesthenia gravis
  • History of allergies
  • Psoriasis

This medicine should not be used by patients who are suffering from:

  • Asthma and hypersensitive airways
  • Allergic reactions to beta-blockers
  • Allergic rhinitis
  • Sinus bradycardia
  • Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)
  • Heart failure
  • Prinzmetal's angina
  • 2nd or 3rd degree heart block
  • Cardiogenic shock
  • Raynaud's disease
  • phaeochromocytoma
  • Hypotension
  • corneal dystrophy

Nyogel should not be prescribed to patients (children) younger than 12 years.

If this medicine is taken in during pregnancy, it could cause harmful effects on the growing baby. If you are pregnant, or if you want to become pregnant soon, you should ask your personal physician if you may start taking this drug. If you continue taking Nyogel until birth, the infant’s blood sugar levels and heart rate ought to be closely monitored during the first few days. Ask your personal healthcare provider for more information. Some of this medicine’s ingredients are known to pass into the patient’s breast milk, possibly affecting a nursing baby. It is not recommended to nurse an infant while you are following a treatment with Nyogel.

Nyogel Intake Guidelines

Ask your personal physician how and when to take this medicine. Do not deviate from any of his or her instructions.

Nyogel Dosage

Ask your personal healthcare provider to calculate the correct dose of Nyogel that you should take in. Do not make any adjustments to the dose of Nyogel that you have been prescribed by your doctor without his or her consent.

Nyogel Overdose

If you suspect that you might be experiencing Nyogel overdose, you should seek medical care as soon as possible. Contact your local poison control centre as soon as possible. We have no information regarding the possible symptoms that might be triggered by overdose with this eye gel.

Nyogel Missed Dose

In order to get the maximum benefits from your treatment with Nyogel, you should take this medicine on a regular basis. You should avoid missing any of your prescribed doses of this product. However, if you miss one, ask your personal physician what to do next. Do not double dose without your doctor’s approval.
