However, if it is important for the patient to start taking Navelbine, he or she should be prescribed a lower dose of this medicine and should undergo regular medical examinations.  

Navelbine is a category D FDA pregnancy medicine. Therefore, a treatment with this medicine during pregnancy could harm a growing fetus. If you are pregnant, or if there is a possibility that you might become pregnant soon, you should ask your personal physician if you may start taking Navelbine. During your treatment with this medicine you should consider using an effective contraceptive method. It has not been clearly determined whether this medicine’s ingredients are able to pass into breast milk or not. If you are breastfeeding an infant, you should ask your personal health care provide if you may start taking Vinorelbine.

Your personal health care provider will tell you the proper way in which you will be administered Navelbine. This depends on a variety of factors that include age, sex, general health condition, the severity of the disease, the type of cancer that you are suffering from, etc. If you fail to understand some of your doctor’s instructions, you should ask him or her, a nurse or a pharmacist.

During your treatment with Navelbine you will probably have to undergo several medical tests (especially blood tests) in order for your personal physician to constantly monitor any improvements, side effects, etc. In most cases, this medicine is stored by an authorized healthcare provider. A prolonged treatment with Navelbine could trigger some serious (dangerous) side effects. If you happen to experience any of these, you should alert your personal health care provide as soon as possible:

• allergic reactions (breathing difficulty; throat closing; swelling of the tongue, lips, or face; sometimes even hives);
• blood problems or bone marrow dysfunction (abnormal fatigue; easy bleeding or bruising; black, tarry or bloody stools; chills; fever; infection symptoms);
• pain, redness, or swelling at the site of the Navelbine injection;
• constipation or abdominal pain;
• cough, breath shortness;
• chest pain;
• tingling, numbness, or weakness.

A treatment with Navelbine could also trigger some other less severe (but more common) side effects such as:

• tiredness, fatigue;
• hair loss;
• loss of appetite;
• nausea, diarrhea, vomiting;

There are other possible side effects that could be triggered by an overdose with Navelbine. Alert your personal physician as soon as possible if you happen to experience anything unusual or bothersome during or after a treatment with this medicine.

Navelbine Drug Reactions

While you are being treated with Navelbine you should avoid receiving any "live" vaccines. Other medicines are known to harmfully interact with this drug. It is best that you ask your personal health care provider if it is safe to start taking other medicines during your treatment with this drug.
