Before you may start using Univasc, you must alert your personal physician if you are suffering from:

• kidney disorders;
• liver disorders;
• diabetes;
• heart disorders or congestive heart failure;
• a connective tissue disorder such as Sjogren's syndrome, Marfan syndrome, lupus, rheumatoid arthritis or scleroderma.

Univasc Intake Guidelines

Ask your personal health care specialist to tell you exactly how you should take your doses of Univasc. Do not deviate from any of your physician’s instructions regarding your treatment with this product. If you fail to understand some of them you should ask a nurse or a pharmacist fro addition explanations. If you want to know more about this drug you should consult the medicine’s label. Univasc Overdose

Univasc Missed Dose

It is important to try not to miss any of your prescribed doses of Univasc (this way, you will make sure that you will get the most beneficial effects from your treatment with it). If you happen to miss taking one of your doses of this medical product you should take it as soon as you possibly can. Univasc Side Effects

• urinating less or more than regularly, or no urination at all;
• fainting, feeling light-headed;
• muscle weakness, tired feeling, and uneven or pounding heartbeats;
• fever, body aches, chills, flu symptoms;
• rapid weight gain;
• chest pain;
• swelling;
• jaundice (yellow eyes or skin).

A prolonged treatment with Univasc could also trigger some other less severe but much more common side effects like the ones listed below:

• drowsiness, dizziness, headache;
• cough;
• sleep problems;
• diarrhea, Vomiting, constipation;
• sore throat, dry mouth;
• mild skin rash or itching.

Univasc Drug Reactions

Any patient who is interested in starting a treatment with Univasc ought to alert his or her personal health care provider if he or she is currently taking / using any of the medical products that have been listed below:

• lithium (Eskalith, Lithobid);
• salt substitutes that are known to include / contain potassium;
• potassium supplements like Klor-Con, K-Dur;
• water pills (diuretics).
