Clotrimaderm is a topical preparation medicine to treat fungi-caused infections.

Clotrimaderm Indications

Clotrimaderm is indicated for the treatment of skin infections.

Clotrimaderm can be used without doctor’s prescription. It is an over the counter medication for skin infections caused by fungi.

Clotrimaderm Warnings

Inform your doctor if you have a medical history of skin conditions and skin allergies that may be of hazardous interactions with Clotrimaderm.

Pregnant women, expecting women should inform their doctor before they use this drug. Clotrimaderm used vaginally during the second or third trimester, however show no harm on the pregnant woman and to the unborn infant.

Medicines such as Clotrimaderm pass through the breast milk. Although there have been no reports about the use of Clotrimaderm harming infants, it is best to inform the doctor if you are a Nursing Mother.

Clotrimaderm has been tested with children and it has shown no side effects or negative reaction. This medicine is not harmful to children.

Mature Adults can use Clotrimaderm without the worry of it being harmful to them. Though it has not been tested with Older Adults, but it is understood that it works the same thing with the majority user group.

Store Clotrimaderm at room temperature and away from heat and moisture. Keep out of reach of children. Do not put it in the bathroom. Do not freeze the medicine.

Do not keep expired Clotrimaderm medicines. Discarded medicine should be kept out of reach of children.

Clotrimaderm Application Guidelines

Before applying the medicine, clean and dry the affected area. Gently massage a small amount on the affected area and its surrounding skin. Do not stop using the medicine until the prescribed amount of time use is consumed. If the medication is stopped earlier than expected, the infection may not clear up. Bandage is required if and only if the doctor recommended it but it is recommended to not cover the infected area. One week is the span of time that the infection will heal. If the infection does not clear up after four weeks, consult you doctor.

The dosage of treatment for the infection depends on the patient. Follow the doctor’s prescription or the directions on the label. If your prescription is different, do not change it unless you have instructions from your doctor.

Do not apply Clotrimaderm directly to eyes, mouth or nose. Apply carefully when you are applying closely to these parts.

Clotrimaderm Dosage

The standard dosage of treatment is:

• Adults and children: Two times a day, morning and evening.

The number of dosage used, time allowed between dosage, the weeks used may depend on how severe the infection is.

If skin area does not improved within 4 weeks or more, talk to your doctor right away.

Clotrimaderm Overdose

There are no Symptoms of Overdose or Side Effects. If Overdose is suspected, seek medical attention immediately.

Clotrimaderm Missed Dose

If a dose is missed, apply immediately as soon as you remember. If the next scheduled dose is almost time, skip the missed dose and take the next one. Do not double dose.

Clotrimaderm Side Effects

Side Effects: Burning or Stinging or Redness when first applied to the skin. This will clear up after a few days. If problems worsen, contact your doctor immediately.

Other Side Effects: Skin rash; Hives; Blistering; Itching; Peeling; Swelling; Other skin irritation before applying the medicine. If problems above are manifested, contact your doctor right away.
