Robinul Information

Robinul is a well known medicine that is more commonly known under the name of Glycopyrrolate. This product has proved its effectiveness in helping control severe types of medical disorders that include peptic ulcers (an excessive production of stomach acid).

Patients who are following a treatment with Robinul should employ extra care while operating machinery, driving or performing any type of activity that is known to require either mental or physical awareness, as this product is known to trigger drowsiness and / or dizziness. If you are taking this drug on a regular basis, you should avoid consuming any products that contain alcohol (this includes some types of medicines, such as cough syrups), as this is known to usually increase Robinul’s regular side effects.

During your treatment with this medicine you should avoid exposing yourself to extremely hot weather, as this increases your risk of developing stroke. Do not start taking Robinul if you are allergic to any of its ingredients (components). Before you start your treatment with this medicine you should inform your personal health care provider if you are allergic to any foods, dyes, preservatives or any other products or substances (this includes other types of medicines).

Some medical conditions are known to harmfully interact with a treatment with Robinul (they might prevent the patient from starting to follow a treatment with this medicine). Patients who are suffering from any of the medical disorders that are listed below should not take Robinul or should use a lower dose of this drug (their intake of this medicine should be closely monitored and observed by a doctor in order to see how the organism responds to the treatment):

• kidney disorders;
• urinary tract blockage (difficulty urinating);
• glaucoma;
• serious Ulcerative Colitis, intestinal blockage;
• myasthenia gravis;
• tingling or numbness in your feet or hands;
• liver disorder;
• thyroid problems;
• Ulcerative Colitis;
• enlarged prostate;
• irregular heartbeat, high blood pressure, or any sort of heart disorder;
• reflux disease or hiatal hernia;
• chronic lung disorder, asthma, or allergies.

It has not been clearly determined whether a treatment with Robinul during pregnancy could harm a growing fetus or not. This is why if you are pregnant you must not start taking this medicine without first consulting it with your personal health care provider. During your intake of this product you should use an effective birth control method, in order to avoid an unwanted pregnancy. It has not been established whether this drug’s main components are able to pass into the patient’s breast milk flow or not. Female patients who are currently nursing a child should ask their personal doctor if it is safe to start taking Robinul. Do not give this medicine to a child without first consulting it with a pediatrician. It is known that children and elderly patients are usually more prone to experiencing this drug’s regular side effects.

Robinul Intake Guidelines

Ask your personal physician to tell you exactly how you should take your doses of Robinul. Do not deviate from any of his or her instructions. If you somehow fail to understand at least one of them, you should refer to a nurse or to a pharmacist and ask them for further explanations. Robinul Overdose

If you suspect that you are suffering from an overdose with Robinul you might need immediate medical care. Alert your personal physician and your local poison control centre at once. The average symptoms that could be triggered by an overdose with this medicine are known to include dry mouth; headache; vomiting; nausea; blurred vision; difficulty swallowing; dry, hot, skin; dilated pupils; dizziness; confusion; drowsiness; anxiety; weak pulse; seizures; and an irregular pulse.

Robinul Missed Dose

Try to take each dose of Robinul at its scheduled time. However, if you miss taking one of your prescribed doses of this product you should use it as soon as you recall. Do not take double doses of this drug without your physician’s approval.

Robinul Side Effects

Robinul’s side effects include:

• allergic reaction;
• a fast or irregular heart beat;
• flushing or rash;
• eye pain.
• dizziness, headache, or lightheadedness;
• nervousness, weakness;
• large pupils, blurred vision, or increased eye sensitivity to bright light;
• bloating, nausea, constipation or heartburn;
• difficulty urinating;
• changes in taste;
• decreased sweating;
• Nasal congestion, stuffiness, or a dry mouth.

Robinul Drug Reactions

During your treatment with Robinul you should avoid using any of the following drugs:

• amantadine (Symmetrel);
• quinidine (Quinora, Cardioquin, Quinaglute, Quinidex);
• antihistamines like brompheniramine (Bromphen, Dimetapp), diphenhydramine (Benadryl), chlorpheniramine (Chlor-Trimeton), triprolidine (Actifed);
• appetite suppressants and / or decongestants;
• phenothiazines like prochlorperazine (Compazine), chlorpromazine (Thorazine);
• other phenothiazines,;
• tricyclic antidepressants;
