Flur is a drug from the non-steroidal anti-inflammatory class of medication – a NSAID. Generally, this type of drug acts by inhibiting the production of hormones that are responsible for the occurrence of pain and inflammation within the body. Flur is available under the form of eye drops.
Flur Indications

Flur Intake Guidelines
It is strongly recommended to apply Flur exactly as your prescribing health care professional has directed. Generally, administration of this medical product begins two hours before surgery. The product is administered every 30 minutes by a health care professional if you are in a hospital setup. There is the possibility of receiving permission to start using this product at home before the surgery. In this case, you must make sure that you do not miss any applications and that you properly apply the Flur doses.
You should thoroughly wash your hands before and after each application. In order to apply the drops, you will need to pull the lower eyelid away from the eye by gently pulling the skin below the eyelid with one finger, and dripping the recommended Flur dose in the space between the eyelid and the eye. Once the medicine has been applied, close the eye and gently press your finger towards the inner corner of the eye. Do not allow the tip of the dropper to touch any surface as it may become contaminated and lead to an infection of the eye. You should not wear any contact lenses unless you have received your personal health care provider’s approval.
Flur Dosage
If you are being administered this drug in a hospital setting, the health care professional that will give you the medication will apply the correct dose. In case you have received permission to self administer this medical product at home, the prescribing health care provider will inform you regarding the appropriate Flur dosage – generally you will need to use one or two drops with each application. Flur Overdose

Flur Side Effects
While not very common, side effects of Flur application are possible. When they occur, they are typically mild – such as mild stinging, burning or itching sensations in the eyes. However, in rare cases these symptoms may become severe or other side effects may occur – for example vision changes, pain or redness in the affected eye. You should consult a health care professional if you experience any of these or other signs and symptoms that are not listed here.
It is also possible to suffer from an allergic reaction to Flur. In this situation you may experience such symptoms as swelling of the face, eyes, lips or tongue, hives or rashes and breathing difficulties – it is strongly recommended that in this case you immediately contact a health care professional.
Flur Drug Reactions
Flur may interact with several other drugs, especially other topical agents or eye drops. As such, you should consult your personal health care professional and let him or her know of any other drugs that you are currently taking before you start a treatment course with this drug.
Apart from topical products and eye drops, Flur may also interact with blood thinners (such as Warfarin). You should inform the prescribing health care professional if you are currently taking any such medical products.
