Neggram Information

Neggram is a brand name for Nalidixic acid, a quinolone antibacterial medicine typically employed for the treatment of urinary tract infections. This drug is currently available only under the form of tablets for oral administration. Apart from the active ingredient (Nalidixic acid), this medicine also contains the following inactive ingredients: parabens, saccharin sodium, purified water, sorbitol solution, sodium chloride, carbomere 934P and flavor.

Neggram Indications

Neggram is commonly prescribed in order to treat urinary tract infections. Generally, it is used in situations where the infective agent is a gram-negative organism of the E.Coli, or of the Enterobacter, Proteus or Klebsiella species. It is recommended that prior to starting the treatment, the susceptibility of the invasive agent is tested by employing a 30 mcg disc test.

Neggram Intake Guidelines

Take Neggram for the full duration of the treatment, as your personal health care professional has directed you to, even if the symptoms of your affection recede after the first few days. You should take your doses on an empty stomach, accompanied by a full glass of water – however, if this causes nausea or stomach upset, you may take this medicine with food.
