Egocort Information

Egocort belongs to category A medicine. It is a non-greasy cream with an ointment-like form. It is a corticosteroid that gives off suppression of lesions, such as eczema, various forms of dermatitis, psoriasis, intertrigo, sunburn, and allergies to using cosmetics and using jewelry, having inflammation as a major feature. It is absorbed through the skin allowing penetration to deeper layers.

Egocort Warnings

It is not known whether Egocort will be harmful to pregnant woman. The decision to use Egocort would be decided on the basis of benefit versus potential risk. It has not been documented whether Egocort appears in breast milk. Still, the decision to use Egocort to treat a nursing mother must be decided on the basis of benefit to the mother versus potential risk to the child. Egocort must not be applied to the breast of a woman prior to nursing. For the elderly, do not use Egocort habitually. Elderly may be likely to have pre-existing skin atrophy. With the use of Egocort, purpura and skin lacerations may likely to occur. Use it for short periods of time only and always ask for your doctor’s prescription. Do not apply Egocort to eyelids, infected skin, acne or viral diseases of the skin such as cold sores, chicken pox, and under covered dressings. If the condition will not heal until 7 days, stop using Egocort and consult your doctor or physician.

Egocort Dosage

You may obtain the dosage from your doctor. Dosage may vary from person to person. Make sure to follow the exact dose given to you by your doctor. Do not change the dose given to you unless told by your doctor to do so.

Egocort Overdose

Overdosage of Egocort may lead to cutaneous atrophy, petechiae, steroid acne or systemic effects of glucocorticoid overdose. Stop using Egocort immediately if you feel anything more complicated that what is normally happening to you.

Egocort Missed Dose

Immediately take the missed dose as soon as you remember but if it is almost time for the nest dose, skip the missed one and take the subsequent dose according to schedule. It is important to remember not to take a double dose of this medication.

Egocort Side Effects

Severe side effects that may occur while using of this product are cutaneous atrophy, petechiae, steroid acne, contact allergy, and delay of wound healing process. Also, slight stinging sensation, redness, allergy, and thinning of skin may occur. The areas that are especially sensitive to unpleasant effects are the skin of the face, the genitals, and the pilus skin. Other side effects may also take place other than the above mentioned. Make sure to inform your doctor if you experience any unusual or bothersome side effects.
