Epival Information

Epival belong to a group of medicines called anticonvulsants. Epival is use to control certain types of attacks in the treatment of epilepsy. Epival can be use alone or with other seizure medicine.

Epival Indications

Epival may be prescribed for patients suffering from epilepsy, which is a neurological disorder characterized by sudden recurring attacks of motor, sensory, or psychic malfunction with or without loss of consciousness or convulsive seizures.

Epival Dosage

Epival Overdose

Epival Missed Dose

If you miss a dose of Epival and your dosing schedule is:

• One dose a day- you take the missed dose as soon as possible. If you do not remember, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not double dose.
• Two or more doses a day- take it right away if you remember within 6 hours of the missed dose. Do not double dose.

Epival Side Effects

Epival may cause some side effects. If these side effects may occur, seek medical attention immediately.

More Common Side Effects:

• Body aches
• Congestion
• Cough
• Dryness or soreness of throat
• Fever
• Hoarseness Runny nose
• Swollen glands in neck
• Trouble in swallowing
• Voice changes

Less Common Side Effects:

• Abdominal or stomach cramps
• Behavioral or mood changes
• Blurred Vision
• Earache
• Dizziness
• Faintness
• Double Vision
• Sweating
• Loss of Appetite

Other side effects may happen that do not need medical attention. These side effects may go away during treatment as your body adjusts to the medicine but if some side effects continue, seek medical attention immediately.
