Celestoderm Information

Celestoderm, with the generic name of Betamethasone Topical, is a topical steroid that inhibits or minimizes the activity of chemicals found in the body that cause inflammation, swelling, or redness.

Celestoderm Indications

Celestoderm is specially formulated to cure inflammation caused by:

• Allergic reactions
• Eczema
• psoriasis

Celestoderm Warnings/Precautions

Children are particularly sensitive to this drug. Never use Celestoderm to a child unless otherwise directed by your physician.

• If necessary, cover with a breathable cotton- gauze dressing making sure that air is still allowed to circulate in the area.

Celestoderm Missed Dose

This drug must not be double dosed unless directed by your doctor. If you miss a dose, apply as soon as you remember as long as it is not almost time for the next dose. Otherwise, skip it and proceed with the next scheduled application.

Celestoderm Overdose

Over dosage of Celestoderm is unlikely to be fatal. However, should you have applied a very large amount over a large area, or has accidentally ingested the medicine and showing signs of side effects, phone an emergency room or poison control left for the proper medical attention.

Celestoderm Side Effects

Unless a large amount of Celestoderm has been used for a long period of time, no severe side effects are likely to occur.

• Blurred vision
• Halos around lights
• Irregular heartbeat
• Insomnia
• Mood changes
• Weight gain
• Fatigue

Should you experience unusual side effects, tell your doctor.

Minor side effects expected to occur would include:

• Redness (may be prolonged)
• Blistering
• Burning
• Itching
• Peeling
• Thinning of the skin
• Stretch marks

In any case, just continue use of Celestoderm and see your doctor.

For other side effects not indicated that may be particularly causing discomfort, let your doctor know for proper medical attention.
