Mavik Information

Mavik belongs to the class of drugs known as ACE or angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitors. It performs by preventing a chemical in your blood known as angiotensin I from changing into a more potent form that increases salt and water retention in the body. Mavik also widens your blood vessels, thereby reducing blood pressure.

Mavik Indications

Mavik is primarily used in controlling high blood pressure. Mavik can be used in treating heart failure or dysfunction following a heart attack. Mavik may also be used for purposes such as those not indicated here in this guide.

Mavik Warnings

Mavik may be taken with or without food and is recommended to be taken at about the same time each dose.

Symptoms of overdose of Mavik include the following:

• Lightheadedness
• Dizziness

If you have taken more than what is recommended of Mavik and experience any of these symptoms, you may be experiencing overdose. Seek immediate medical attention or call poison control. Inform your doctor afterwards.

Mavik Missed Dose

Doses of Mavik should not be missed. If a dose is missed, however, take it as soon as remembered. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one and take the subsequent doses according to schedule. Do not take a double dose of Mavik unless otherwise instructed by your doctor.

Mavik may have any of the following side effects or allergic reactions :

• Diarrhea
• Difficult or labored breathing
• Dizziness

• low blood pressure
• muscle cramps
• nosebleed
• pains in arms and legs
• palpitations
• rash
• severe skin disease
• slowed heartbeat
• swelling of face and lips
• swelling of tongue and throat
• swelling of arms or legs
• throat inflammation
• upper respiratory infection
• vertigo
• vomiting
• yellow eyes and skin

If you experience any of these side effects, continue using the product but inform your doctor immediately.

Other side effects may also occur when you take Mavik. Inform your doctor if you experience anything unusual while or after taking Mavik.

Mavik Drug Reactions

Mavik may react with the following drugs:

• Diuretics
• Aldactone, Dyazide, and Moduretic
• Lithium
• Potassium preparations
