Arcoxia Information

Arcoxia, with the generic name of Etoricoxib, works by relieving joint or chronic diseases that cause pain, swelling, stiffness, and inflammation.

Arcoxia Indications

Arcoxia is specially formulated to treat:

• Gout attacks

Arcoxia belongs to a class of drugs known as FDA Pregnancy Category C. This entails that its effects to an unborn child is not known. Should you be pregnant or planning to be while under treatment with Arcoxia, inform your doctor immediately.

It is also not known if Arcoxia passes into breast milk. Nursing mothers are therefore advised to see their doctor before taking this drug.

Arcoxia Intake Instructions

Arcoxia must be taken as directed by your doctor. If there is any instruction that appears unclear to you, ask your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist.

Each tablet is taken whole with a full glass of water. It is not a stomach irritant so it can be taken on a full or empty stomach.

To get the most benefit of Arcoxia, use it at the same scheduled time each day.

Arcoxia Missed Dose

Unless directed by your doctor, Arcoxia must not be double dosed. If you happen to miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember as long as it is not almost time for the next scheduled dose. Otherwise, skip missed dose and proceed with the next.

Arcoxia Overdose

If symptoms of over dosage are suspected, seek proper medical attention.

Arcoxia Side Effects

If you feel any of the conditions below while under treatment with Arcoxia, inform your doctor at once:

• Headache
• Rash
• Blurred vision
• Difficulty sleeping (insomnia)
• Muscle cramps
• Fatigue
• Disturbances of the gout (such as diarrhea, constipation, nausea, vomiting, or abdominal pain)
• Weight gain
• Ulceration of the stomach or intestine
• Cold or flu-like symptoms
• Dizziness
• Excessive fluid retention in the body tissues resulting to swelling (oedema)
• Nose bleeds (epistaxis)
• Difficulty in breathing (dyspnoea)
• Weakness or loss of strength (asthenia)
• High blood pressure (hypertension)
• Chest pain
• Anxiety
• Liver or kidney disorders

For other possible side effects not mentioned that are particularly causing discomfort, tell your doctor immediately for the proper medical help.
