Neulactil is a medicine based on the active substance Pericyazine, a phenothiazide class medication that acts by blocking certain receptors in the human nervous system, particularly the dopamine receptors, thus effectively controlling such symptoms as aggression and impulsiveness.

Neulactil Indications

Neulactil is used in patients that exhibit certain symptoms of mental illness (such as extreme anxiousness and tension) as well as in patients that are affected by severe mental conditions (e.g. patients that have lost contact with reality, or are no longer able to judge or think clearly). Often, Neulactil is prescribed for the treatment of other affections as well, most commonly in combination with other medication. Neulactil Warnings

Neulactil Intake Guidelines

Neulactil may be taken with or without food, or with a glass of water, but it is important that the medicine is taken at around the same time each day – this will allow the therapy to yield the best effects and will reduce the chances of accidentally missing any of the medication doses. Neulactil is not a cure for any of the listed medical conditions. As such, you may be required to take this medicine indefinitely. It is best that you do not stop taking this drug without first consulting with your personal physician. Neulactil Overdose

Neulactil Missed Dose

If you happen to miss one of your doses, it is best to take it immediately when you remember, if less than 12 hours have passed since you should have taken the Neulactil tablet. Neulactil Side Effects

The most severe side effects associated with Neulactil treatment are manifested through symptoms such as fever, skin rashes, severe confusion, severe gastric pain accompanied by vomiting, cramps and bloating, jaundice, heart rhythm disorders, frequent infections, shallow breathing, body distortion, restlessness, uncontrollable jerking, twitching or writhing, tightness or stiffness in the extremities. Other patients reported lack of normal movement of the muscles, glaucoma aggravation, blurred vision, discoloration of certain eye portions, breathing problems, altered state of consciousness, allergic reactions. These are signs of severe adverse reactions and they should be brought to the attention of competent health care providers immediately. Other side effects may occur as well. If at any point during your Neulactil therapy you experience any unexpected symptoms, it is best that you inform your personal physician.

Neulactil Drug Reactions

Neulactil may interact with other drugs causing unwanted reactions in the patient’s organism.
