NEUPOGEN

Neupogen Information

Our online pharmacy stocks Neupogen, an effective cancer medication. Buy Neupogen as it is a form of a protein which is artificially made by humans and it stimulates the growth of white blood cells in the human body. The white blood cells help the human body in its fight against infections.

Neupogen Indications

Neupogen is recommended by doctors to patients who are suffering from neutropenia. Neutropenia is defined as the lack of a certain type of white blood cell; this is a medical condition generally caused by cancer, chemotherapy, bone marrow transplant or other similar conditions which are not listed here. However, a treatment with this cancer medication could also serve some other purposes that have not been mentioned in this guide. Consult your physician for further information.

Neupogen Warnings

Patients who want to begin a treatment of Neupogen should consult their doctor and inform him if they are suffering from any type of blood cell disorder, sickle cell disorder, myelodysplasia (which is also known as preleukemia), chronic myeloid leukemia and also if they are currently under chemotherapy or radiotherapy. Patients who are suffering from one or more of these conditions will need special dosage adjustments and their doctor will most likely create special tests to be sure that it is safe for them to begin the treatment with this cancer medication.

Patients should also inform their doctor if they are allergic to any drugs, before starting the treatment with Neupogen. Female patients should tell their doctor if they are pregnant, because the use of Neupogen can result in harmful effects for the baby.

Neupogen Intake Guidelines

Doctors usually recommend their patients to take this cancer medication daily for about two weeks. Neupogen must be taken at the same hour each day in order to obtain the best results. Your personal healthcare provider will perform regular blood tests in order to see if the medicine is useful. These regular blood tests are also helpful for the doctor to establish how long the patient will need to continue using this cancer medication. This medicine is given daily as an intramuscular injection.

Patients should not self-inject Neupogen if they do not how to perform this clinical procedure. During therapy with this drug, the patient’s doctor will also order regular liver tests to see if the medicine is affecting the individual’s liver. The patient should not shake the medication or the syringe as this can ruin the texture of Neupogen.

Neupogen Dosage

Patients should use Neupogen as the doctor prescribed this medication. They should not use it in larger or smaller amounts than their physician has told them, nor for longer than they were instructed. Neupogen is usually available with a set of patient instructions. If these instructions seem to be unclear then the patients should not hesitate to ask the doctor, pharmacist or personal healthcare provider for further and more detailed explanations.

Neupogen Overdose

Patients who have accidentally taken an abnormally high amount of Neupogen should contact their doctor or personal healthcare provider as quickly as they can. Unfortunately, not all of these symptoms that may be due to an overdose with Neupogen are known. As this medicine is used in order to increase the number of the white blood cells, an overdose of it can lead to extremely high levels of white blood cells. This medical condition is known as leukocytosis and if it is not discovered and treated in time it may result in strokes, heart attacks or kidney failure.

The best treatment for an overdose is not known yet. In the cases in which the levels of the white blood cells increase alarmingly, the doctors may recommend a procedure (called leukapheresis) to remove the excess of the white blood cells from the patient’s body.

Neupogen Missed Dose

If a patient forgets to take the daily dose of Neupogen, they must take it as soon as they remember to. In the cases in which it is time for the next dose, the patients must wait until then to ingest a dose of this product (available from our online pharmacy) and skip the missed one. Patients are not recommended to use a double dose of this remedy.

Neupogen Side Effects

Here you will find a list of the most common side effects that the patients may experience while taking this cancer medication. However, not all patients who regularly use this medicine experience adverse side effects, as the majority of the persons who are being treated with Neupogen tolerate it quite well. The possible adverse reactions include: bone pain, nausea, vomiting, high blood pressure, nosebleeds, loss of appetite, constipation, diarrhea, hair loss, headaches, tiredness, muscle aches, mild skin rash and itching, swelling or redness at the place where the injection has been made.

Patients should immediately inform their doctor if they experience the following side effects: swelling of the face, lips, tongue or throat, breathing problems, signs of enlarged/ruptured spleen (which leads to upper abdominal/shoulder pain), signs of an allergic reaction (rash, hives, itching) and increased growth of cancers. Patients should stop taking Neupogen if they experience sudden and severe pain in the left upper stomach which spreads to the shoulder, a fever, chills, flu symptoms, body aches, easy bruising and bleeding, rapid breathing, shortness of breath and unusual weakness. People using Neupogen may experience these symptoms or may not. This is not a complete list of all the side effects that may arise in such situations.

Neupogen Drug Reactions

Before beginning their treatment with Neupogen, the patients should inform their doctor if they are also taking lithium (also known as Eskalith, Lithobid, Lithane), because, in such cases, the individual needs dosage adjustments. Patients should inform their doctor about all the other medicines that they are taking.
