Nifuran Information

Nifuran is a brand name for Furazolidone, an antibacterial, antiprotozoal medicine used to treat infections caused by susceptible organisms. This medicine effectively stops the invasive agents’ growth and kills them, thus clearing the infection over the duration of the therapy.

Nifuran Side Effects

Nifuran does not typically cause any side effects, as long as it is taken exactly as directed by the prescribing health care professional. However, in a small number of patients, some adverse reactions may still occur. These are typically mild and do not pose any serious threat to the patient’s health, however severe side effects such as allergic reactions are possible. You should contact your personal health care professional at any point during your Nifuran treatment if you begin experiencing any bothersome or persistent effects, such as nausea, vomiting, headache, abdominal pain or diarrhea.
