Norimin is a popular contraceptive medicine (birth control pill), a combination between 2 hormones: progestogen and oestrogen. Birth control pills are meant to prevent unwanted pregnancies. • are suffering from fibrocystic disease or breast nodules.
• are suffering from Sickle cell anemia.

• are suffering from diabetes.
• are suffering from an allergic reaction to any of this medicine’s components.

If you are experiencing an allergic reaction to Norimin, you will probably have these symptoms:

• wheezing, asthma or shortness of breath

• fainting

Norimin Intake Guidelines

A prolonged treatment with Norimin could trigger some of the following side effects and allergic reactions:

• spotting
• break-through bleeding
• stomach or gastric discomforts including vomiting, nausea and diarrhea
• changes in your regular menstrual flow
• changes in your regular appetite
• change in weight
• absence of periods
• abnormal fluid retention
• dizziness, headache
• breast changes (secretion, tenderness and enlargement)
• tiredness or fatigue
• mental depression
• itching, rashes, acne
• hair growth
• back ache
• leg cramps

Norimin’s most severe side effect consists of abnormal blood clotting. This condition can sometimes be lethal. Patients over 30 years old who smoke are more prone to experiencing such a problem.

Norimin Drug Reactions

Before you start a treatment with Norimin you should inform your personal physician and / or your local pharmacist if you are also taking any other type of medicines (this includes over the counter drugs and prescriptions such as cough or cold medicines, herbal products, etc).

There are several drugs that are known to harmfully interact with Norimin:

• Rifampicin (a medicine that is regularly prescribed to patients who are suffering from tuberculosis).
• Most antibiotics like oxacillin, ampicillin, tetracyclines, trimethoprim and sulfamethoxazole.
• Griseofulvin or any other anti-fungal agents.
• Barbiturates.
• Drugs that are prescribed in the treatment of patients who are suffering from Epilepsy (for example phenytoin and carbamazepine).
• Phenylbutazone (this drug is regularly prescribed to ease some of the regular symptoms of arthritis).
