Women that have tumors that depend on hormones (such as endometrial cancer) and those with breast cancer may not be eligible for a treatment with Nuvelle. Also, this medication may not be administered to patients that have an allergy to it or to any of its ingredients.

Also, you should tell your prescribing health care professional if you are suffering from or if you have a medical history of liver disease or endometrial hyperplasia, or if you have unusually heavy periods or irregular menstrual cycles, as in such cases Nuvelle therapy may not be recommended. Nuvelle Intake Guidelines

Nuvelle comes in packs containing four memo sheets, each of them with 16 white tablets and 12 pink tablets. The pills are to be taken one per day, starting with the white pills in the first 16 days of the treatment and continuing with the pink tablets in the following 12 days. Once a memo sheet is empty, you need to start the next memo sheet during the next day of the therapy, as Nuvelle therapy needs to be continuous. Patients that have a regular menstrual cycle should start the therapy during the first day of bleeding; if you have rare or no menstruation you may start the treatment in any day of the month.

Nuvelle Dosage

Nuvelle is available under the form of pills, and each box contains 4 memo strips, each with 28 tablets. The memo strips contain two types of tablets; the first 16 are white and each contains a 2 mg dosage of Estradiol valerate, while the other 12 are pink and apart from the 2 mg of Estradiol valerate each of them also contains 75 micrograms of Levonorgestrel. The prescribed Nuvelle dosage is typically of one tablet per day.

Nuvelle Overdose

At this time, the exact effects of an overdose with Nuvelle are not known. It is expected that an overdose with this drug may lead to an exacerbation of its side effects. Nuvelle Side Effects

There are some side effects associated with Nuvelle treatment. Breast pain or tenderness, breast enlargement or breast discharges have been observed in a number of cases. Changes related to the menstrual cycle such as painful periods or vaginal secretion alterations are possible. Indigestion, flatulence and abdominal pain may appear, as well as headaches, dizziness, fatigue and anxiety. Palpitations and high blood pressure have been observed in several cases.
