Oruvail is a popular medicine that is also widely known under the generic name of Ketoprofen. This medicine belongs to a wide class of medicines that are called NSAIDS (anti-inflammatory nonsteroidal medicines). If you start to experience circulation or heart disorders (like weakness, chest pain, problems with balance or vision or breath shortness).
A treatment with Oruvail might increase the risk of causing sever damage to the intestines or to the stomach (this includes perforation and / or bleeding). Such medical conditions can have lethal effects, and it has been shown that elderly patients are more prone to experiencing such disorders.

If you experience any intestinal or stomach bleeding during your treatment with Oruvail (such as bloody, black stools, vomit that is similar to coffee grounds or bloody cough) you should alert your personal health care provider as soon as possible. Patients who are suffering from known allergic reactions to this medicine’s components should not start using Oruvail. Before you start a treatment with this drug you should alert your personal doctor if you are a smoker or if you are suffering from:

• a history of stroke, heart attack, or blood clot;
• a history of stomach bleeding or ulcers, bowel disorders, diverticulosis;
• heart disease, high blood pressure, congestive heart failure;
• kidney or liver disease;
• nose polyps;
• asthma.

If you do have any of the medical disorders that have been listed here you might not be allowed to start taking Oruvail or you might have to take a smaller dose of this medicine. This drug is a Category B FDA pregnancy medicine. Therefore, a treatment with it during pregnancy should not cause any unpleasant birth defects. However, if you are pregnant, or if you think that you might become pregnant during your treatment with this medicine you should ask your personal health care provider if you are allowed to start taking this medicine. Ask your doctor if it is safe to take this product if you are currently nursing an infant. Do not give Oruvail to a child without first consulting it with a pediatrician.

Ask your personal health care provider how and when to use this medicine. Do not deviate from any of your doctor’s instructions. Oruvail is not recommended in the treatment of minor pains and aches. Take this medication exactly as directed on the label, or as it has been prescribed by your doctor. Since Oruvail is usually taken in when it is needed a missed dose of this medicine is unlikely. However, if you are following a treatment with this product and you miss a dose of Ketoprofen you should ask your doctor for instructions.

Oruvail Side Effects

A treatment with Oruvail could trigger some severe side effects such as:

• slurred speech, chest pain, shortness of breath, weakness, problems with balance or vision;
• black, tarry or bloody stools;
• tremors confusion, or shaking;
• jaundice (yellowing of the eyes or skin), nausea, low fever, stomach pain, dark urine, loss of appetite, clay-colored stools;
• sore throat, fever, and headache, peeling, skin rash;
• severe tingling, bruising, muscle weakness, numbness, pain.

Oruvail can also trigger some other less dangerous side effects such as:

• upset stomach, constipation. diarrhea;
• gas, bloating;
• headache, dizziness, nervousness;
• skin rash or itching;
• dry mouth;
• blurred vision;
• runny nose, increased sweating.

Oruvail Drug Reactions

While you are following a treatment with Oruvail you should avoid taking the following medicines:

• cyclosporin (Neoral, Gengraf, Sandimmune);
• probenecid (Benemid);
• lithium (Lithobid, Eskalith);
• aspirin or any other NSAID;
• methotrexate (Trexall, Rheumatrex);
• anti-platelet medicines like dipyridamole (Persantine), clopidogrel (Plavix) ticlopidine (Ticlid);
• blood thinners like warfarin (Coumadin); 
• steroids (prednisone).
