It is also important to know that the medicine interferes with birth control pills, making them ineffective. Take the medicine for the entire period of the treatment, because if you stop taking it to early, the disease can reappear. Principen does not treat viral infections including cold or flu. If it is not administered properly, it can cause complications such as diarrhea, which can be a sign of a new infection. Principen Intake Guidelines
