• if you are currently pregnant, or if you want to become pregnant soon (as in, during your treatment with Povidone), or if you are currently breast-feeding a child
• if you are suffering from severe burns or wounds (especially those caused by deep puncture)

Povidone Intake Guidelines

Follow the exact instructions that your personal doctor has given you regarding your treatment with Povidone. If you have any further questions or if you are in need of additional information, you should immediately contact your doctor, a pharmacist or a nurse. You should carefully read the instructions that are written on the product’s label.

If you are using Povidone to treat a scalp condition, you should massage about 2 teaspoons of product into your wet scalp. Do not rinse for about 10 minutes. Carefully and thoroughly wash your hands after using this product.
Povidone has only been designed for external use. Avoid letting this product come into direct contact with your mouth, eyes or nose. If this occurs, rinse the area with plenty of clean water. Do not let this medicine come into direct contact with open wounds, severe burns or puncture wounds. This product should be used with extra care in the case of patients who are younger than 2 years of age.

Povidone Dosage

We strongly advise you to refer to your personal doctor to tell you the dose of Povidone that suits you best. The correct dosage is known to sometimes vary from one person to another, as it depends on a couple of factors (among them: age, body weight, the severity of your disorder, general health condition, etc). Povidone Side Effects

Patients who are currently following a treatment with Povidone and who experience unpleasant hives, skin rash, or itching, or some other types of unusual reactions shortly after using a dose of this medical product, should immediately discontinue their treatment with this product and alert their personal physician at once. Patients who develop a dangerous (serious) allergic reaction to this medical product are likely to experience severe hives, rash, dizziness or difficulty breathing.

Povidone Drug Reactions

It is known that some drugs that are available in pharmacies could harmfully interact with a treatment with Povidone.
